The channel, initially established as IRIB Pooya on July 18, 2012, underwent a reform on September 23, 2015. It now comprises two subchannels. The first, Pooya, launched on the same reform date and airs daily from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., catering to a younger audience primarily aged six and below. The second subchannel, Nahal (meaning plant in Persian), originally launched as IRIB Koodak on September 23, 2015, underwent a renaming and rebranding on April 18, 2016. Nahal broadcasts every day from 7.30 p.m. and is tailored for older children. Additionally, a sister channel named Omid (meaning hope) was introduced on September 20, 2016, targeting adolescents.
