Khodaaye Koshtaar

Khodaaye Koshtaar : خدای کشتار : "God of Carnage" is an intriguing play penned by Yasmina Reza in French, debuting in Zurich in December of the same year. The narrative revolves around an eleven-year-old boy from the Reille family who injures a classmate from the Houyels with a stick, sparking a meeting between the two families to address the incident. Initially civil, their interactions progressively reveal the violence and uncivilized aspects within their relationships, creating a compelling blend of comedy and poignancy.

The central theme of the play revolves around "perpetual differences," where individualism and setting boundaries become the catalysts for conflicts. In Iran, the Persian adaptation hit the stage in December 2008 at the Shahr Theater's Shadow Hall, expertly directed by Alireza Kooshk Jalali. Simultaneously, a German-language rendition graced the theaters in Germany.
