Reza Attaran, born on April 30, 1968, is a prominent Iranian actor, director, and screenwriter. He initially pursued studies in economics and received his diploma in the field. However, he later shifted his focus to the arts, attending the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Tehran. Despite starting his academic journey in industrial design, Reza Attaran eventually abandoned his studies to pursue a career in cinema, marking the beginning of his journey in the world of acting.

Attaran's entry into the world of acting commenced in the 1980s, primarily in theater. He gained recognition in the 1990s for his performances in television series, with his notable involvement in "Bidarann" (1989). However, his breakthrough as an actor is credited to his collaboration with Mehran Modiri in the TV series "Poraz 57" (1993) and "Sa'ate Khosh" (1994–1995).

Reza Attaran ventured into directing with his first project, the children and youth-oriented program "Sib Khonde" (1997). His film debut came in 1997 with the movie "Marriage Key" ("Kelid-e Ezdevaj"). He continued to diversify his roles in television, appearing in "Kolah Ghermezi" and "Sarvenaz" in 2002 and 2003, respectively.
