Mahnaz Afshar (born June 10, 1977) is an Iranian actress. She began her acting career with the television series "Lost" in 1998 and made her way to the cinema the following year with the film "Friends." In 2009, Afshar won the Crystal Simorgh for Best Supporting Actress at the Fajr Film Festival for her role in "Sa'adatabad." She was nominated for the Crystal Simorgh for Best Actress in a Leading Role at the Fajr Film Festival for her performances in "Darkoob" (2017) and "Qasam" (2018). As of 2020, she is banned from acting and has been residing outside of Iran since 2019.

Personal Life: Mahnaz Afshar was born on June 10, 1977, in Tehran, into a family with roots in Tabriz. She completed her high school diploma in the experimental sciences and pursued studies in film editing for four years at a non-profit institution. Initially, her family opposed her acting career due to religious beliefs. She received training in acting from Hamid Samandarian's classes.

In June 2014, Mahnaz Afshar married Yasin Ramin, the son of Mohammad Ali Ramin, the press deputy of the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance during Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's second term as president. They have a daughter named "Liana," born in April 2015. However, in October 2019, Afshar announced her separation from Yasin Ramin through an Instagram story.
